St Elizabeth's Associates

On the 3rd of September, Associates from Jarrow, Much Hadham, Carshalton and Cheam met together for a quiet day at St Elizabeth’s, Much Hadham. The day was led very prayerfully by Fr Francis, O.F.M and was greatly appreciated by all. The weather remained warm and sunny for the morning and early part of the afternoon, after which, the rain descended. In the latter part of the afternoon, Sr Pat gave a short talk about the jubilee year of Mercy, followed by Sr Veronica who spoke of future plans and activities within the English Province. Mass was said by Fr Francis during which John and Wendy Sinclair of the St Elizabeth’s Associates made their commitment as Associates and received the Associate Cross from Sr Veronica. After that, all the Associates renewed their commitment. Prayers were said for all our Associates around the Province, including Ireland and California. The day ended with a meal which was supposed to be a barbecue but due to the inclement weather, the meal was held, very successfully indoors. It was a good day enjoyed by all and everybody enjoyed the spiritual input and the time to socialise.
