Co-Workers & Volunteers

Co-Workers

vision daySisters and Co-workers at a "Vision Day"

  1. We share our Vision, Mission and Apostolate with our co-workers. Now, more than ever aware of the high standards of professionalism and expertise in so many fields, we value the support of those who are not only co-workers but also friends.

Recognising that Sisters and colleagues each have a contribution to make, we readily share responsibility and ways to improve the service offered in so many areas.

Volunteers

In addition to numerous employees within the Province, there are also many generous and dedicated volunteers who provide invaluable and enthusiastic support:

  • In the case of St Raphael's the total number of volunteer hours in a recent audit was a total of 53,410. They spend time on the wards and in the day centre, through art and music, with bereavement support and in many other areas.
  • St Elizabeth's owes a debt of gratitude to its volunteers who are drawn from across the world. They support pupils in the classroom and the home, and assist residents attending day activities. Others help to run the charity shops, and volunteers from local companies donate their time to improving the grounds.
  • Volunteers help to provide residents at St Wilfrid's with a full and active social programme both on and off the site.
  • Patients at St Anthony's and Holy Cross benefit from the volunteers who contribute to make their stay in hospital as comfortable as possible.

Some volunteers are on advisory committees; some help in administrative work; many more assist directly by giving care, whilst others are active in fundraising.

To all volunteers the Sisters continue to offer their thanks and remembrance in prayer.
