Community Life & Prayer

Living in a religious community means choosing to live with God and with others, for God and for others.Today the Daughters of the Cross seek to build communities of faith, centred on the Eucharist and nourished by prayer, in order to fulfil the Congregation’s apostolic mission.

Our mission is that of the whole Church
and our love must embrace the entire world,
to which we bring our prayer
and, where possible, our active help
Constitutions Article 61

Gathered round the Cross,
called to an apostolic mission,
the Congregation is, above all,
a community of prayer....
Like the early christians,
who persevered in prayer
and in the breaking of bread,
we centre our lives
on the Word and on the Eucharist.
